I remember the day

In that little café

I knew back then that

There’d be three words I’d say

I used my best lines

It worked you were mine

I’d bring you flowers

You’d be my valentine

For all time

I understand things have not gone quite to plan

I said I’d be your only man, since we began

I’ll fight for you in any way that I can

Worlds collide but they’re not always side-by-side

To share the moments to laugh and cry

But they survive, like you and I

When we’re divided by sky

When you walk away

I’ll whisper and say

This ain’t goodbye

I know I will find a way

You’ll be gone for a while

But return with a smile

Just keep me in your heart always

The sun will shine

Until next time

I understand things have not gone quite to plan

I said I’d be your only man, since we began

I’ll fight for you in any way that I can

Worlds collide but they’re not always side-by-side

To share the moments to laugh and cry

But they survive, like you and I

When we’re divided by sky

Instrumental

I understand things have not gone quite to plan

I said I’d be your only man, since we began

I’ll fight for you in any way that I can

Worlds collide but they’re not always side-by-side

To share the moments to laugh and cry

But they survive, like you and I

When we’re divided by sky
